Map & discovery
Map foundation exists. Public mural and legal-wall pins need location, access, attribution and safety review before they can be promoted as approved destinations.

Graffiti Spots Australia is an independent Android project exploring street-art discovery, collections and augmented reality. This working brief separates what exists today from the experience we want to build.
G-SPOT should turn a street-art photograph into the start of a real-world journey: find a place, understand its story, travel there safely, look through the camera, and keep a personal record of what you discovered. Artists, property access and permission to paint stay central. A mural is not automatically a legal wall, and a map pin must never imply permission it cannot prove.
The Android project already has a map foundation, a camera, local collection work and experiments around palette extraction and AR. The latest project audit found three production map features, no production encounter anchors, and a graffiti-hunt flow still marked for curation. The supplied app screens are design references. They are not proof that profiles, routing, rewards or every screen are release-ready.
Map foundation exists. Public mural and legal-wall pins need location, access, attribution and safety review before they can be promoted as approved destinations.
Driving route guidance was tested on a device in an earlier build. Walking and transit modes still need a current device check before they are described as working options.
Photo-based palette extraction is being built as a private, local draft. The latest host tests passed; current on-device appearance and a public upload flow still need verification.
The replay experiment is a synthetic depth-style move over a still image. There is no finished video encoder, automatic depth reconstruction or production Gaussian-splat capture yet.
Sign in and shape a profile. Browse a reviewed map. Choose walking, transit or driving directions where they are supported. Arrive on foot, explore the camera and discover artwork-linked stories or hidden details. Save a flick, sample its colours and, later, replay the moment through a moving camera effect. Each stage needs its own tests, privacy choices and clear status label.
Drone footage and drone-skin concepts have their own studio. They can add cinematic context and optional cosmetic design, but they should not be mixed into the source colours taken from a real wall.
Keep basic browsing and safe discovery free. Do not reward people for trespass, unsafe access or painting without permission. Avoid public precise location for a person's live position. Submissions need moderation and image-rights review before they become public. The current website privacy notice ↗ covers this website; the app requires its own verified notice and permission explanation before release.
First prove that discovery, maps and the creative loop work well. Later revenue can support the project without blocking safety or basic use: optional membership for convenience features, artist-approved collaborations, clearly labelled merchandise, and optional cosmetic drone or profile designs. Avoid paid access to essential directions, pressure timers, pay-to-win rewards or claims that a digital collectible will rise in value.
MetaMask and Polygon remain exploratory. There is no verified wallet integration, token, mint, paid partnership or MetaMask affiliate agreement. A banner alone does not earn referral income. If a real affiliate link is approved later, label the relationship clearly and keep it optional.
Finish a clean, usable app journey; validate each route and map entry on a device; build the review and moderation process; verify app permissions and privacy; then test the palette-to-replay loop with real photos. Only after those steps should public rewards, wallet features or monetization be considered.
Working product brief informed by the project’s current Obsidian notes and build audit. Prototype status can change; this is not a release promise or investment offering.
